Thrill on Blueberry Hill

Located on top of a cozy hill, in a shady location, this property is the happiest shade oasis around. Phase one of the project addressed the front foundation and walkway. The homeowners were ecstatic about new plantings that would feel more natural and loose compared to what  they had before. The desire to be surrounded by nature was in their hearts. We used native, shade loving species, around the foundation and walkway to provide plenty of seasonal interest. With an emphasis on using local materials in order to reduce our footprint, existing bricks were cleaned and repurposed in reconstructing the walkway, while granite steps were used up to the home’s entrances. 

Phase two was focused in the backyard. The goal was to create a more enjoyable space by extending the existing patio and surrounding it with pollinator friendly perennials and native species. The space is used to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the afternoon. It allows the homeowners to decompress as the sounds of birds, bee’s buzzing, and the fragrant aromas of the garden fill the air.
