This multi-disciplinary and two-year project led to the creation of a breathtaking portrayal of an English landscape. The homeowner, an interior designer born in England, came into this project with a vision of the finished product. We worked with her diligently throughout the process to design a landscape that combined traditional and contemporary English landscape practices.

Formal plantings followed a simple white/green color palette throughout the property. Boxwoods and hydrangeas line the front, with the boxwoods carrying into the back, eventually leading to a woodland garden. Wattle fences and arbors, constructed by hand, encompass the backyard living space where the party really starts. Cobblestone paths lead you through the varying garden spaces and up to the thirty-foot-long outdoor kitchen and adjacent dining area. The kitchen contains every amenity imaginable, while the patio seats a twelve person dining table as well as a fire pit for more intimate occasions. The seating wall running along the entire edge of the patio makes this area perfect for hosting parties. As the sun sets, and the firepit is roaring, the outdoor lighting steals the show. This project provided a chance to experiment and better understand the culture of England, leaving the homeowner with a little slice of home to enjoy.
