From Your First Consultation to a Beautiful Outdoor Space
At Samantha’s Gardens, we’ve developed a collaborative process that makes landscape design, construction, and ongoing garden maintenance seamless and enjoyable. Whether you’re creating a brand-new landscape or enhancing an existing garden, our experienced team will guide you every step of the way.
All great gardens start with a great landscape design followed up with consistent, knowledgeable maintenance. And for Samantha’s Gardens, each one is tailored to every client and garden.
How to get started?
Every new project begins with our online inquiry form. A designer will call you back to discuss your project, gather further details, and schedule an Initial Design Consultation.
Garden and Landscape Design, Installation and Maintenance Process
Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, we’ll walk your property, discuss your vision, goals, lifestyle, and budget, and learn how you want to use and enjoy your outdoor space. This is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, determine if we’re a good fit, and recommend the best landscape design, construction, or garden maintenance solution for your project.
From there, we’ll outline the next steps—whether that’s collaborating on a custom landscape design, exploring materials and plant selections, or creating a maintenance plan to keep your existing landscape healthy and beautiful. Please note: Our Initial Consultation fee is $90, but you only pay that if you do not move forward with a project with us.
Landscape Design Proposal
If you’re looking for landscape or garden design services, we’ll prepare a customized design proposal outlining the recommended scope of work, design services, project timeline, and next steps. Together, we’ll review the proposal to ensure it aligns with your vision, property, and goals.
Once you’re ready to move forward, you’ll sign the proposal and submit your design deposit to reserve your place in our design queue. Depending on the size and complexity of your project, the time of year, and our current workload, the design phase may begin anywhere from three weeks to three months after your proposal is approved.
Concepts & Revisions
We will come to your home and do a thorough site analysis. We walk through your property, take measurements, review your site plan, and revisit the design vision with you. Then our professional garden designers and landscape architects will draft an initial concept for your Design Plan. We’ll review it with you and make any changes that you request until we have a plan that matches your vision.
Final Design /Approval
Now that we’ve finalized the overall design concept, it’s time to select all the finishing details that bring your landscape to life. Together, we’ll choose the trees, shrubs, and perennials, landscape lighting, types of stone and hardscaping materials, as well as custom features such as outdoor kitchens, pergolas, patios, and other outdoor living elements.
We’ll review the complete landscape plan together to ensure every detail aligns with your vision, lifestyle, and budget before giving final approval and preparing for installation.
Installation Proposal & Scheduling
With your final landscape design approved, we’ll prepare a detailed installation proposal outlining the scope of work, construction schedule, materials, plant selections, hardscaping elements, lighting, and project pricing. We’ll review the proposal together so you know exactly what to expect before installation begins.
Once you’re ready to move forward, you’ll submit your installation deposit to reserve your place on our installation schedule. Our experienced team will then coordinate every aspect of the project to ensure a smooth installation and exceptional results.
Making Magic Happen
With installation work rolling, you get to see your design begin to come to life. We get your plants ordered, line up all of the necessary sub-contractors, and introduce you to your construction team. We will review your property and the work that we will be doing.
Final bill
We will do a final walkthrough of your property with you to make sure everything is done to your satisfaction.
Annual Maintenance
At the end of the design and installation project, we begin valuable landscape maintenance to care for your new landscape. Our maintenance clients get added benefits such as additional warranties and ongoing enhancements.
